The remotePick CD application of our controlled drugs solution enables you to automate your controlled drugs picking process after the drugs have been issued out of the stock control system.
The application connects to the stock system and determines which drugs need picking for which patients and/or wards. The drugs are then automatically collated and sent to the central Omnicell CD cabinet as ‘remote picks’. When an authorised user logs onto the Omnicell cabinet, they will be presented with a pick list for all of the outstanding drugs.
This means there is no need to manually pick the required drug again. The user will simply be guided to the locations to pick all the required drugs.
