Omnicell and KFM announce new strategic collaboration
Omnicell is pleased to announce a new strategic collaboration with KFM, a leading healthcare support services provider owned by King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trusts, designed to deliver a comprehensive, future-ready inventory management solution for healthcare organisations.
KFM partners with NHS and healthcare organisations to deliver end-to-end managed services across procurement, supply chain operations and clinical support, reinvesting all savings back into frontline care. Through this collaboration, the solution will pair Omnicell’s smart automation and intelligent inventory management software with KFM’s end-to-end operational service, and is intended to support improved patient safety, stronger financial sustainability, and enhanced supply chain efficiency across NHS and wider healthcare settings.
The combined solution was created to directly support clinicians by helping to ensure supplies are available where and when they are needed, meant to reduce time spent managing stock and free up capacity for patient care. It also is intended to support long-term financial sustainability by improving data quality, reducing waste and avoiding unnecessary expenditure.

As part of this offering, Omnicell will provide the digital backbone of the solution, through smart automation and intelligent software that is designed to deliver real-time stock visibility, automated replenishment, accurate product data and seamless interoperability with EPR, P2P and IMU systems. Engineered to be compliant with Scan4Safety and GS1 Standards, the solution is intended to enhance traceability and patient safety, with planned ongoing upgrades to match evolving healthcare needs.
Alongside this, KFM will deliver the full operational service, including catalogue management, procure-to-pay receiving, distribution and clinical stockroom support. The service will be underpinned by robust governance, structured reporting and disciplined supply chain processes, meant to ensure organisations can optimise usage, minimise waste and gain full visibility and control across their supply chain.
